What would it feel like to have dyslexia—and not know it?
As early as Kindergarten/1st Grade, parents and educators see a bright, enthusiastic child struggle to learn to read and write. Excitement for learning wanes. Frustration grows. Self-esteem plummets.
The effects of undiagnosed and untreated dyslexia can reach far beyond the classroom. It may affect their emotional well-being, social development, and career path.
we need your help to help these students.
Early identification is the key. With early identification and evidence-based dyslexia intervention, we can change the trajectory of children’s lives.
In 2020, the Dyslexia Center of Austin launched an Evaluation Program to help students and families find answers by providing comprehensive, reduced-rate educational evaluations for dyslexia and other learning differences. To date, we have helped over 60 families answer the question, “Why is my bright child struggling to read, spell, and write?”
data is power.
Our exceptional team of Educational Diagnosticians, who are also Certified Academic Language Therapists, have a deep-rooted knowledge of dyslexia and other learning differences. They genuinely understand the identification and remediation process, and can help families unlock their child’s full potential.
